On the afternoon of 11 January, AI Italy will organise a protest against Guantánamo in the central square of Rome (Piazza di Pietra) with 30 + activists in order to reppresent the most classic Guantánamo images; 3-4 activists with orange overalls will be inside a metal dock recreating prisoners image; beside it there will be two activists dressed in military unform and other that will give out leflets asking to act (sending a fax to the embassy and signing a petition for closing Guantánamo Bay).
AI Italy are also planning to have a "video box" where the people can leave their own message for closing Guantánamo (all these messages will be edited into a video clip that will be shown on an enormous wall of a building in Rome next summer) .
At the same time famous Italian actors will read passages written by Guantánamo detainees. After the demonstration, AI Italy will show the film "Road To Guantanamo" together with "Fandango" independent film distributors.
