One June 10, 2006, three men imprisoned at Guantanamo died. According to the military, each man committed suicide, apparently in a coordination with one another.

Many more have attempted to kill themselves, seeing death as the only way out of Guantanamo. In December 2007, another man there died of cancer.

This vigil will remember all those who have died, and those who remain alive to suffer indefinitely and without access legal resource in Guantanamo.
